This project introduced us to systems manufacturers and sustainable design materials. The building was an existing old tobacco mill in Richmond, VA. We were asked to design a co-op office unit for two collaborating businesses. The clients wanted an open office space with lots of areas for collaboration. Many of the systems used in the design were from Steelcase and Herman Miller and all the materials chosen were sustainable, recycled or eco-friendly to support the sustainability of the design.
